Day 11
Your Storehouse
but first a Restored Marriage Testimony!!
Encouraged Parent’s Restoration –
Parents NOW Together!
Sylvia contacted our ministry to see if she might be able to help her parents. She found out that her parents, who had been married for over forty years, had separated. They had had their share of arguments, but she didn’t think it would come to this. When she spoke to her brothers and sisters she was shocked that they were happy about the separation and had even encouraged their mother in her decision to force their father out.
Sylvia said that since she was the only Christian in their family she KNEW that separation was not only wrong, but would probably lead to divorce. We suggested she read How God Will Restore Your Marriage and the workbook for women, and started to pray how she may “stand in the gap” for them. We told her to focus on the two chapters that talk about helping others and that she was right that she was given the "Ministry of Reconciliation" that 2 Corinthians 5:18 gives to ALL believers.
Thankfully Sylvia knew that for her to confront her mother would be wrong, since the Bible clearly says to honor your parents no matter what age they are. Yet she believed and we confirmed that she could honestly and respectfully share her beliefs with her mother, but only if her mother asked.
Over the next few weeks, she was given several opportunities to share her faith and her beliefs about marriage, which she told her mom that she had begun to read and study due to so many of her friends who were in marriage crisis. She told her about the Restore Your Marriage book and soon, she began going through the chapters with her mother. Later they became ePartners for A Wise Woman but NOT as HER teacher—but giving her mother the honor God told her would mean things would go well for her as it is promised in Ephesians 6:1-3.
It took almost three years, but God was faithful—Sylvia's parents have now reconciled!!!
Sylvia wrote to tell us she feels so very blessed, and now seeks to encourage other grown children, whose parents are divorced or separated, to share the same principles on marriage with separated or divorced parents.
Grown children want their parents together as much as those living at home. Nothing is more difficult than when holidays and birthdays are visited by step parents and step-grandparents. Everyone feels ill at ease and the small children are left bewildered by the confusion.

Your Storehouse—
Who's Feeding You What?
YOUR SPIRITUAL STOREHOUSE
Do you remember reading in one of yesterday's Restored Marriage Testimonies, that Darla spoke about what the church is not teaching and why (after she was restored) she and her husband were doing what they can to teach those who are in marriage crisis? Darla and her husband together realized (by what they went through) that they needed to begin feeding men and women (all around them) who are spiritually "starved" of the truth on marriage.
Before we begin talking about your storehouse, however, I would first like to speak to many of you who are struggling with where your storehouse IS. When reading the forms, some of you are having a really hard time letting go of your current church, so I think it's important that I address this first. To confirm that I should, just this morning I wrote to one of our ministers about a client's form. I said,
"When I read women writing to us or to the Lord, who are clearly not sure, but are leaving their church because they feel WE are telling them to leave, I cringe!" The reason is that if anyone is not sure, then she clearly is NOT ready in her Restoration Journey to leave her church (in order to make room for her husband to be the spiritual leader of the family).
Remember this, this is a "journey" and the most important thing is to make sure that we don't move too quickly or too slowly, but keep in pace with the LORD who is leading us.
"However if it was ME, well, lol, actually this was ME and I also had to leave my church (that I LOVED) and also I WAS misunderstood (by my children and others). However, I knew that this is what the Lord was telling me to do. And this IS what each woman has to know for sure too.
Honestly, being misunderstood was (and still is) my greatest struggle when following the Lord. When I took the issue to the Lord, He spoke to me about it one morning, reminding me how MISUNDERSTOOD He was by the people who He wanted most to understand Him: His own family and also His apostles.
The most important thing for each and every woman, as I said, is that each needs to know that this is HIM speaking to her, NOT US. We never, ever want anyone to do anything WE say because who cares what we say or think or feel or believe?!?! What matters is what He says, what He is speaking to each heart. And this means we want to encourage each woman to press into the Lord to be SURE this IS Him, and it is HIS timing.
And always make sure that the force is coming from WITHIN her (from where He resides) not a force from the outside... US (or anyone else).
Another huge issue that women began writing about was something that was NOT addressed well enough in the Spiritual Leader lessons, which was what to do about our children and their spiritual growth. It really depends on the children's ages and some other factors (that I addressed with some of our ministers); like when you are living with parents who want you to take your children to church.
So we are hoping to have more information to add to our lessons for the next group that goes through the 30-Day Restoration Journey in January. Information that we will be offering to each of you BEFORE you move on to the REBUILDING phase of RRR of your Restoration Journey.
We will, in fact, provide an opportunity for each of you to submit a question you believe we did not cover well enough in our series at the very end of the lessons. However, these will NOT be specific questions that deal with your "particular" situation (as if we were counselors), but generally when a topic (such as teens going when you're remaining home) is not covered well enough.
So does it really matters WHERE I tithe?
Yes!! The Bible says, "Bring the whole TITHE into your STOREHOUSE" and of course this simply means WHERE you are spiritually fed.
Many women attend a local church and naturally give their tithe there.
Unfortunately, most people who attend a local church today are the very ones who come to us with a marriage that is crumbling or has ended in divorce due to their church not feeding them the truth on marriage.
In today's lesson "Your Storehouse" we want to begin by expressing how very grateful we are, and how seriously we take the fact that for the past three weeks (or more), that most of you have given US the opportunity to be your spiritual storehouse—feeding you the truth that will be the major turning point of your life. And we don't mean turning point only in regard to your marriage and whether or not it is going to be restored—but in your relationship with the LORD—which is the MOST important.
We believe that far too many marriages and families have become sick and are dying due to empty sermons and ineffective teachings. We believe that rather than simply learning history lessons or sermons that make us feel good about ourselves, the church needs to begin NOW to help PREVENT the ongoing and ever increasing EPIDEMIC of marriages crumbling, which ultimately destroys fathers, mothers, and their children!
Many of us are/were going to (or were members of) a church that does/did not encourage marriage restoration at all, which as we learned yesterday puts us in rebellion, a very dangerous spiritual condition. Many, I am surprised, have no idea if their church or pastor is FOR restoration or not. But due to it being an epidemic in the church, if a pastor doesn't touch on prevention and its remedy weekly, I would have to say he and his church are failing its congregation.
Some believe that not only should they stay in their church, but they should also tithe to their local church. But unless you are being spiritually fed there, and they are actively helping you and your marriage to be restored (something you are trusting the Lord for), not only are you living in rebellion, but that church is not your “storehouse” and therefore, that is not where your tithe belongs.
If you are being fed somewhere, like a new restaurant that is feeding you foods that are healing your body because you found out you were dying of heart disease, but you still continued eating at the place that fed you the stuff that contributed to you getting heart disease (or certainly not preventing it), that does make too much sense. In addition, nor does it make sense to tithe where you are not being fed, but instead walking out of the restaurant that is feeding you healthy foods, because you feel you need to keep paying at the restaurant that has been the one who is still contributing to all the heart disease in your community!
As I said, we personally don't care WHERE you tithe, in regard to us getting any money from you. But we DO very much care ONLY because of what it's going to do TO you!
True health care providers, doctors that LOVE to heal (not the ones who are in it for the money), don't want to surgically give you a new heart (or repair your diseased heart) and then see you walk out and begin eating and living the same lifestyle! If they were in it for the money, they would probably rather you keep living like that so they would have another surgery to make money on!
We LOVE what we do, and do it all for the same reason as our partners give financially (so that we don't have to ASK for money and so we can GIVE away our books and videos and not charge for our lessons either). We do it because of what HE HAS given to us!
“Give, and it will be given to you. They will pour into your lap a good measure—pressed down, shaken together, and running over. For by your standard of measure it will be measured to you in return”—Luke 6:38
The Lord has given and continues to GIVE us soooo much, so in the same standard we GIVE to you out of a heart of gratitude to the Lord.
All of our partners are women who have lives that were CHANGED due to what was given to them, and also due to learning the blessings and protection of tithing. Most of our partners are made up of women who have experienced a restored marriage years ago and continue to sow and reap restoration. Not all our restored, but ALL are changed and have a relationship with the Lord as their Husband.
These are the women who paid for your eBooks and these lessons for you. We don't do this a some sort of scam, I am sure by now you can see why we do what we do. Our partners play a key role in our body, by providing the means so that every women could have the truth no matter what they had financially. Today we call this "paying it forward," which is what the church needs to do much more of. And when I say the church, it really means (as we learned yesterday) US, the people, not the building.
Something else you may not know, our ministers are not paid, but they all tithe here. We are all our volunteers. Even my family and I are supported by the sale of my books through other websites (like Amazon) and that means I also tithe here, to my storehouse. The Lord feeds me, personally, with fresh spiritual food while I have the privilege of feeding brand new Christians, and very hungry Christians, starved of the truth. So when I prepare food for you, I am, in turn, being richly fed!
And whether you want to believe it or not, the truth is, and what we keep hoping you will begin to believe—we do NOT need your money—God faithfully gives us all we need and is faithful to blessing us according to His promise.
“Now this I say, he who sows sparingly shall also reap sparingly; and he who sows bountifully shall also reap bountifully. Let each one do just as he has purposed in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver”—2 Corinthians 9:6
Though we don't need your money, at the same time we cannot and will not ignore the truth at your expense worrying about what you may think we are out to do. We want to sow into your lives, so into deserted fields, so that you too will experienced the "before and after" tithing scenario that each of us experienced when we began to tithe and sow into our storehouse.
"Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap"—Galatians 6:7
Another interesting fact, women are more than willing to pay their counselors (who charge exorbitant prices and do more harm), to pay for antidepressant medicine (that leaves them unable to think or feel and very often results in side effects that are far worse), and soon pay for attorneys (to protect their assets when who cares about assets being divided when restoration means that all the assets will remain in the home when the family is intact). Women are willing to pay all of this (and did you notice this is all as a result of a devourer who has permission to steal?), when what will close the door, slam it shut, is tithing.
And not just tithing, but tithing to your storehouse so that the enemy can no longer rob you of your money to pay for those ghastly things! What will give you the spiritual nutrition to turn your heart toward God is to be fed loads and loads of HIS WORD and HIS Truth.
"Your Word I have treasured in my heart, that I may not sin against You"—Psalm 119:11
"...for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also"—Matthew 6:21
Let me assure you again, we don't need your money. For a long time we gave away our books and never asked for donations. Then when I was going to Uganda to speak, an African woman (who moved to Canada) begged me to teach her people about tithing, about giving, and blamed the missionaries for her nation's ongoing poverty! I was shocked!! She said, "Everyone is teaching my people to TAKE, not give, to look to white men to help them, not God. So how can they ever be free from poverty?!?" She went on to tell me that it wasn't until she left Africa that she learned and applied the truth. She tithed and became quite wealthy but her people now see her as just another source to take from.
For almost four years a widowed pastor's wife would write and even call me from Uganda to send her more money! I never made it to Uganda to speak, but only got as far as Kenya, but sent money to her because I couldn't come. But oh how right this friend was. I may not be called to speak boldly in Africa again, but I can speak the truth here and change one person's life with the truth—someone who is willing to test God on this! Remember that God actually says to test Him.
"'...TEST ME now in this,' says the LORD of hosts, 'if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows'"—Malachi 3:10
So let me ask you, knowing and living this as deeply as we do, how could we possibly NOT share the truth with you—even if it means risking you are thinking that we want your money? The only person that matters is YOU. And if you are serious about closing the door that was left wide open in your life, the door that has allowed the enemy to come in a steal from you, then test HIM. And the truth is, people generally believe what they want to believe.
Ultimately the choice is yours.
"I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. So choose life in order that you may live, you and your descendants..."—Deuteronomy 30:19
Things Changed Immediately
So many women begin tithing after their husbands had left because for some reason they knew they needed to tithe, even before we taught them anything.
Many began tithing in their local church until they realized this was NOT where they were being spiritually fed. Yet once they tithed to their true storehouse, then things began to change, IMMEDIATELY.
As I said I learned tithing from using my food stamps and giving to the local soup kitchen. Later, when I learned what a "storehouse" was, I was no longer in any church, due, as I said, to being a Pharisee, so I had to stop attending a church. Totally baffled I asked the Lord to show me what to do. He had me begin sowing into my own ministry, Ministry of Reconciliation, that He gives to all of us, mine was (and still is) with the focus on marriage restoration.
That very week the Lord made me aware of a woman and her daughter who lived right down in the next townhouse from us. When my boys invited the little girl to have lunch with us, they all stared and told me how fast she ate everything "like she hadn't eaten in weeks, Mommy"—because she hadn't.
When my boys told me what they saw, and how they had given their sandwich to her to eat (that she basically ate in one bite), I offered her something to take home "since we were not going to be able to eat it," I said. Then I knew what our mission was. We left and headed right to the grocery store to purchase bags and bags of groceries with the food stamps I had been using for the soup kitchen!
When we knocked on the door with the groceries, her mother broke down in tears, and when my boys carried the groceries in, they saw that their cupboards had just ONE more package of oriental noodles left. What she confessed they had been surviving on for weeks!
Then I found out that this woman's husband had abandoned them, that she had no gas money to get to work, and that she was in danger of losing her daughter to the social services! When I told my ePartner Sue, she asked if I had any "cash" to give this mother for gas money to get to work. I actually did, which was something that never happened! It was not my money, but cash my mother had given me to pick something up for her. And I knew my mother would want me to use it until my friend Sue could pay me during our weekly fellowship just a day later.
When I went back I went alone while the children got ready for bed. From the door I could hear laughing and crying and the two of them dancing inside. Earlier that very day this woman told God that "if He was real, to help her!" She had grown up in a religious and strict home; parents who threw her out when she got pregnant. Her husband also claimed to be a Christian, then got involved with another woman, and later abandoned her when their daughter was eight. (This woman did not know the Lord personally, but through this experience came to know the Lord, both she and her daughter not too long after this night.)
When she opened the door and I tried to give her the money for gas, she refused telling me I had given her enough. When I said it was NOT from me, she said, "I know, it's from God but I can't take it." But when she heard it was another woman, she began to cry again. I shared with her why we met together and this is when my ePartner and I began to help another woman! This woman needed someone on either side of her to support and encourage her.
“So it came about when Moses held his hand up, that Israel prevailed, and when he let his hand down, Amalek [the enemy] prevailed. But Moses’ hands were heavy. Then they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it; and Aaron and Hur supported his hands, one on one side and one on the other. Thus his hands were steady until the sun set”—Exodus 17:11–12
Soon after this, the Lord opened the door for me to make some income. I began tutoring and had some real money to tithe, but I knew it needed to go into my storehouse where I was being spiritually fed. Our fellowship (that began to attract women who I had no idea how they found us because we told no one why we met together) had begun meeting weekly, so we used the money that I gave to my storehouse (the soon to be RMI). We gave away the Bible verses (Sue and I found to help us) and we ran copies of to pass out to the ladies who came or to pass on to other ladies. We also gave used Bibles (we bought at thrift stores in every version), also food, gas money and anything else we saw women needed.
Though at times the enemy tried to convince me that my tithe was just going to myself, the Lord reminded me how many churches where I saw the pastor put HIS tithe into the offering where he was ministering. And to confirm it, if I were not giving to my storehouse then or now, then the devourer would certainly have permission and be more than happy to steal what I have!! There is no doubt I would be in poverty—but my family and I are certainly not even close! Everything we have is paid for, our ministry too is debt free and will remain so due ONLY to HIM and following HIS Word!
"Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law"—Romans 13:8 NKJV
The same is true for so many other women whose marriages are now RESTORED. Once they learned the truth they, too, began tithing to their storehouse, some tithing for the first time ever. And all of us agree that this was the FIRST step to slamming the door to the enemy. The door that you, like us, left wide open by not tithing to our storehouse (and by being fed by the storehouse that will strengthen and heal us). Not tithing is what allowed the enemy to come in and steal, kill and destroy all of our lives—which is what we are hoping will soon cease as you fight the fear of not being able to pay your bills.
This is a very common fear that invaded the peace of all of us. The truth is, you will never be able to pay your bills if you don't FIRST tithe! And I doubt that any of us who are faithful tithers have not each experienced when it "looked like" there was no way we would have enough. Even doing the math and it simply didn't add up! Yet when we tithed to Him first, to our storehouse as He said, that we paid ALL of our bills, and for many of us, it led to also being debt free!
Now is the time to slam the door shut on the face of the devourer! No one in their right minds, when they feel cold air coming in, would turn the heat up when they had left a door in their home wide open!
How Could the Church allow this to Happen?
Because we all have experienced the same atrocity—NOT being fed the spiritual food that would have prevented our marriages from crumbling, which included not knowing or being taught about the devourer and the protection of tithing! I doubt I need to say much more on the subject. But for some of you who are still struggling, ask yourself this:
With an epidemic of marriages being destroyed, why hasn't the local church done more to give all us the spiritual food, the spiritual knowledge to know how to prevent divorce, and unfaithfulness? And if divorce were to occur, why don't they have the scriptures and the resources necessary and ready to restore our marriages?
We believe the local churches, for the most part, have failed to be our spiritual storehouse in every way. They preach to us history lessons and crowd-pleasing sermons while an epidemic of divorces spread throughout the church. And even worse, when faced with infidelity, separation and divorce, it breaks my heart to think that they turned around and gave us poison in the form of counseling and psychology (which, as I said, we will learn about in a later lesson).
We are not against the church, but what the church has failed to do. Our goal is to restore marriages one at a time, and then to train these restored couples to go back to the churches in their communities trained in the truth! It's not about blaming anyone! It means that we each do what we can to learn the truth, NOT for ourselves ONLY, but for the sake of others!
Once again, please ask God to show you how you can help bring the truth to your church & local community!
A Cheerful Giver
Ultimately the choice of whether or not to tithe and where you tithe is yours. Thankfully, one last time, we do not "need" your money. Forgive me for saying that again and again and again. Our ministry follows the principle of tithing (every donation we get, every sale we get in our bookstore we tithe on). In addition, as I said, each of our ministers tithe, therefore we are not battling against the devourer and we are always spiritual fed feasts and have more than enough!!
Lastly, if you're going to give, give it cheerfully and not with the feeling that you have to.
"Each one must [give] just as he has purposed in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver"—2 Corinthians 9:7
The reason we teach about tithing to your storehouse, and doing so cheerfully, is not so we can manipulate you to give for our sakes—but for YOURS. All of us, as I said, volunteer, so if you tithe we don't get your money. If we were out to make money, we would SELL our books rather than just give them to you.
Yes, we also offer our books for sale, but even then we have a reason as I also explained briefly. What I didn't elaborate on is that when a man or woman purchases the books, we actually SEE and witness that overall they change MORE because they INVESTED into their own restoration! For years we have gone back and forth, selling our books, then giving them away again—all due to us wanting to help the most people we minister to. We simply want others to be blessed!
The bottom line is this, do not give anything to us, ever, unless you want to sow into what we do. You are under no obligation to us, not ever. We didn't set you up to get you to give, and honestly, we don't want you to feel guilty about it either.
The Message Bible explains it in an interesting way. "Remember: A stingy planter gets a stingy crop; a lavish planter gets a lavish crop." I want each of you to take plenty of time to think it over, and make up your own mind what you will give. That will protect you against sob stories and arm-twisting. God loves it when the giver delights in the giving."
Funny thing is, a lot of women who WANT to give have very little to give. That's another thing we love about tithing! God set it up as a sort of "sliding scale." If you have little, you give little. And if you have a lot, you can give a lot. And for any of you who honestly has very, very little, Jesus said that you are exceedingly blessed!
A wonderful example is often referred to as "The Widow’s Mite" from Mark 12:41-45 "And [Jesus] sat down opposite the treasury, and began observing how the people were putting money into the treasury; and many rich people were putting in large sums. A poor widow came and put in two small copper coins [mite], which amount to a cent. Calling His disciples to Him, He said to them, 'Truly I say to you, this poor widow put in more than all the contributors to the treasury; for they all put in out of their surplus, but she, out of her poverty, put in all she owned, all she had to live on.”
There was a time, as I said, when my children and I lived on food stamps. I had no income at all. My first 3 months rent had been paid ahead of time by my husband (because he planned to disappear). Later, people (some I didn't know) paid my rent and utilities. But as soon as I learned about tithing (as I am teaching you today), I just knew it would be the end to my financial woes. So I took what I had, which was food stamps, and tithed from them. It wasn't 10% at first, and it wasn't even when I first got my food stamps either (giving first to God). However, God looked at my heart, and blessed me accordingly because I was new to this and He could see my heart was to following Him wholeheartedly.
We learned about thinking of others during this time in our lives, too. We took the rest of our food stamps that we had left at the end of the month, and went to a warehouse where they accepted the stamps (not every grocery store did back then). We got a big flatbed cart, and we purchased huge bags of rice, beans, flour, and also industrial sized cans of vegetables and fruit. We would load it in our van and my four children and I would deliver to the soup kitchen.
We would then stay to serve the noon meal and clean up afterwards. To say my children appreciated what we had would be an understatement. They learned compassion and also not to be afraid of showing kindness to people who were dirty, smelly, and missing teeth 🙂
One day I was so blessed when one of the regular men came out to help us unload our van. When he saw the canned peaches he smiled so big (he was one with missing teeth) and said "Wow, my favorite!!" I hugged him and said, "They are all yours, enjoy!" and he began to cry. I cried too and so did my boys. Experiencing things like that were life-changing for all of us!
"For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in; naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me.’ Then the righteous will answer Him, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, and feed You, or thirsty, and give You something to drink? And when did we see You a stranger, and invite You in, or naked, and clothe You? When did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ The King will answer and say to them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me'"—Matthew 25:35-40
This was just ONE of many benefits to my husband being gone. It afforded me opportunities that I didn't have to ask him about, not that he is not one to give to people in need, but not as radically as I knew I needed to do in order to get us out of the poverty we were in! Only two generations that preceded me and my children were millionaires! Both my mother's father was, and my father's father were millionaires believe it or not. This really was something I had to come to grips with when I obeyed my husband after he left us who told me to go "get on welfare."
What God did (due to my giving) was to show we a way to make an income. He reminded me that I knew how to teach reading, and showed me how to find a group of students in a nearby daycare center's after school program. By being gone while my two youngest were napping, and the other two were reading, I was able to make as much money working one hour, two times a week, that paid as much as if I worked 40 hours at minimum wage!! I had more education than that I could have used elsewhere, but it would have meant having to pay someone to watch my four children and leaving them when they had already lost their father. God rewarded me (to not put my children through any more) by helping me help my seven students go from the bottom of their class to the top of their class just by learning phonics!
Later I was offered a job (occasionally) in my field of orthodontics, which I gladly took, due to my husband being able to spend those days with our children at our townhouse. Each and every time I tithed, God kept moving me up financially and also began bringing my husband home little by little. And by the time he was home, after watching what God did for me (and how I was able to buy food for him and the OW when he was "reduced to a loaf of bread" due to living in adultery and also giving them my van), he began tithing without me saying a word!
QUESTION: Should I tithe on the gross or net amount?
Everyone has their opinion on the answer to this question, but in seeking God for wisdom it was so clear, if you tithe on the net amount then you're really NOT paying the your tithe FIRST.
This means before paying your bills and on the amount BEFORE taxes or other payments are taken out as Jesus tells us in Matthew 6:33, “But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added to you” and “But I have this against you, that you have left your first love.” Rev. 2:4
This powerful principle of “first fruits” is also in Deuteronomy 18:4 that tells us, “You shall give him the first fruits of your grain, your new wine, and your oil, and the first shearing of your sheep.” Then, in Exodus 34:24 and 26, God says, “For I will drive out nations before you and enlarge your borders . . . You shall bring the very first of the first fruits of your soil into the house of the Lord your God . . .”
If you are still not sure what to do, do nothing. Instead, take the verses on this page and begin to read them over and over, asking God to open your eyes to what HE wants to show you and to help you do it. Make sure that the force you feel is from the INSIDE (where I hope Jesus resides in you) and not a force from the outside, US (or anyone else). Because in the end who cares what people say?? What matters is what HE says, what HE is leading you to do, and only YOU know what that is, and will suffer the consequences if someone is telling you what is wrong, right? 🙂
He Paid the Price for You
Let me end with this, you didn't EARN your salvation, and God does not make you pay for it. You could never earn enough with the kind of spiritual debt you and I are/were in!
Without Jesus dying on the cross, we would be doomed to an eternity of torment. He said what He GAVE was a FREE gift. Now with this gift of eternal life, with His hope, we are now equipped to live a life of compassion for others! Forgiving others as we have been forgiven, the devoting ourselves to pour out of our abundance.
Today's lesson is Spiritual Milestone #1 along your Restoration Journey.
Again, what will be holding you back this time, from being set FREE, is FEAR.
So today you have a second chance to achieve this first milestone.
READ the Testimonies of other women who have struggled getting over this milestone so you can overcome it too.
Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may win.
If you weren't able to hurdle over this milestone before, you've no doubt gained much more spiritual strength and faith than you had the first time. Draw on the Lord's, take His hand and leap over the FEAR of giving GOD control of your finances. He asked you to TEST Him in this one area of your life, have you?
“But prove yourselves doers of the Word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves…not having become a forgetful hearer but an effectual doer, this man shall be blessed in what he does.” James 1:22,25
“Why do you call me Lord and not do what I say?” Luke 6:46.
If you have been spiritually fed, spiritually nourished and even brought back to a spiritual life due to these lessons and the Encourager, don't foolishly hang on to what belongs to God and He tells to give to your storehouse. Set yourself FREE!
Why would you deceive God? Yet you deceive me. But you say, “How have we deceived you?” With your tenth-part gifts and offerings. You are being cursed with a curse, and you, the entire nation, are robbing me. Bring the whole tenth-part to the storehouse [where you're being spiritually fed] so there might be food in my house Please test me in this, says the Lord of heavenly forces. See whether I do not open all the windows of the heavens for you and empty out a blessing until there is enough—Malachi 3:8-10 CEB
Take your first step in seeing the devourer rebuked by the Lord of hosts!
