Dear Brides, His Word says in Lamentations 3:22-26
The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases;
his mercies never come to an end;
they are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.
oāThe LORD is my portion,ā says my soul,
ātherefore I will hope in him.ā
The LORD is good to those who wait for him,
to the soul who seeks him.
is good that one should wait quietly
for the salvation of the LORD.
This morning when I woke up I had such a happy feeling in my heart. I recently told you about my relationship with my youngest son. It's wonderful how my LOVE keeps giving me new ideas to teach my children what His word says. It is my desire to pass on to my children the many promises I am now learning and the deeper meaning of those scriptures . After all, He says that we should teach the boys His promises from an early age so that they will fall back on them later when they need it. Fortunately, the "A Wise Woman" book has added a chapter "Your Mothers Teachings" https://hopeatlast.com/c3/day-24-chapter-15-your-mothers-teachings/ from which I have been able to draw valuable teachings. And because I have given my complete trust and guidance to Him in learning my children about the wonderful Heavenly Father and Friend they have. He lead me how to do this. Recently I started by adding an extra phrase to the boys' evening prayers before going to sleep. Now at the end of their prayer they ask if "may the words of the mouth always make my Lord and their Father happy" this is from the Bible text Psalm 19:15 At first they thought it was a bit strange but with a little explanation that their Heavenly Father and best Friend is so happy when we focus our words on blessings, building up and encouraging each other.
They are eight years old but very soon they got excited to pay attention that what they say really makes their Friend happy. And where I most thankful for and I can't praise Him enough for that is to see the peaceful changes it brings between these two boys. They are now starting to take more into account with each other because they so badly want Jesus to be pleased with what they say. And not only say but also with what they do. The result is that I have been talking to them for a few evenings now before they go to sleep about what fun things and less fun things they have experienced that day or have done for and with someone else. And after our conversation, they may each tell Him their gratitude for the help they received from Him again that day. I as a mother am so happy with my Beloved. And the changes He shows me when we engage Him for the desires we have. He alone can do it and gives us the wisdom of how best to do it. For me as a mother, my joy is so great to see my children living by his principles and laws as young as they are now. And all because of the great love HE has for us.
My praise report I started with a scripture because this is the verse the boys are following in their actions right now, favors from my Beloved are every day new. And these favors can also be given by the boys to everyone they come into contact with. Every day is new and every new day gives you new opportunities to do favors.
Dear brides, I've had a great sense of impatience all day long. Because I couldn't wait to hear about the amazing fun blessings my boys had received and experienced. They in turn couldn't wait to tell me either. Tomorrow they will go back to their father. Which made them a little sad but then when they are back we'll move on . For me this scripture is meanfull because He has answered my prayer as I waited quietly about how to teach my children about Him. Now that I have let go of my former church.
Dear brides, I would like to invite you to also share your praise with us here on this website of the wonderful things He is doing for you and all the people you love. I would very much like to hear it . For nothing is impossible for Him if we simply ask Him. He is faithful to give you your desires. I can promise you that. Try it and you will see His goodness.
Thank you Kristine for posting your praises about your children and teaching them about the things of God š l too want to teach my kids more and to have a closer relationship with their Heavenly Father but i’m not sure what or how…
You just reminded me that all l need to do is simply ask Him and He will show me š
How wonderful to see moms with the desire to share more with their children. I donāt think itās a coincidence but this morning on the encourager menu, it has a link to watch the Macyās barn, cat video read by Mia. As a mom in this very tech age, I do know that often when children are bored, momās hand them their phones, or they carry their iPads with them. As a mother of seven children and 10 grandchildren It makes sense to have videos like this ready and bookmarked on our phones. And what will help prevent ADD or ADHD is to have them repeat, repeat repeat as long as itās a good repeat.
What I mean is some thing my husband just reminded me about and that is when I first learned to read. I asked my siblings to read the same story over and over and over again. I never tired of it because thatās the way children find calm by repetitive routines. In addition, when my son who didnāt learn to read until he was 11 began reading, he would read childrenās readers out loud for his siblings for their naps. Once again, they asked to hear the same favorite stories over and over and over again. At the time we didnāt have Macyās farm, cat or horses helped for, which also has promises that just one can change the life of a small child.
If you have more questions, Iād love to record podcasts and invite Yvonne (who is so full of wisdom, and has the fruits of her children who are entering into their teen years) join me.
We can begin with this particular topic, so I can share specifics and stories that we women love to hearā especially since as older, wise woman, this is what God says in his word we are to doā¦ Encourage and teach the younger women. Iām excited this ought to be so much fun.
Yvonne, are you on board? Do you have time this next week to record and maybe begin HGM weekly podcast? Maybe we could post a Praise the day before together, questions, and it could be HGM Q&A?
Yes please šš¾ that would be so wonderful!! I’m sure I’m not the only mother who would love a HGM Q&A, podcast or whatever else He leads you & Yvonne to share!!
Thank you so much about sharing and about your son that did not start reading until he was 11… that just encourages me so much with my son whose 8 now.. by the grace of God has managed to pass grade 1 & 2 but still struggles so much with spelling and reading… It’s a daily struggle with homework but a continuous relying on HIM šš¾
It would be so wonderful with the start of our school year here in South Africa & to start off the year!!
Thank you Christine for your praise report and especially starting it with a bible verse, because you remined me again what my motto in life was, because with my son being disabled, it was so important to talk te right words and what beter words than the Word of God.
How many times the word of God has saved and helped my son. It was so easy for my son just to say I can’t do it, because many time he would hide behind his disability and now can’t doesn’t exist anymore because if the word of God says he can, then he for sure can.
Thanks Kristine for your praise and the most amazing is that I do not have children on my own but I am the God-mother of two nephews and my Husband has giving me the opportunity to share his word with my older Nephew. Some years ago, I remember I wanted to share what He was doing in my life so he could start following Him but it did not work out until the day he had a car accident and I gifted him with a Bible with a Bible Study guide inside. I am sure it was my Husband who orchestrade everything because after that my nephew started to read the Bible by himself and often when we are together he brings up some verses that we are able to talk about and learn even more from each other.
