Seeking restoration for my marriage. |
What is your current marital status? Please be sure to choose the one that BEST describes your situation. |
Married and my husband lives with me. |
Have you read the book "How God Can and Will Restore Your Marriage?" |
Yes |
How did you find our ministry? |
On line! Purchased RM book many years ago! Going to read through book, again as it was put away. |
Now, please tell us about your situation and why you have come to us for help and what has your husband/partner said are the main issues or problems he has with you and your relationship? |
I need help with my marriage. My husband says, I’m not fun! Says we have nothing in common !! Too different from each other. He says I’m miserable!! He’s not home much and when he is, he’s on his phone, computer or watching tv. He works long hours! Has business dinners and they are long. Travels for business. I snoop and see things regarding (other women) He’s angry with me and angry at his job! Sometimes I am afraid of his anger outbursts! |
Please use the space below to simply speak to God, in your own words, pouring your heart out to Him. |
I’m a mess! I need help in every area of my life!! I thought in a marriage, two people build a life “together” My husband is a good provider but still lives like he’s single. We have four adult children and two grandchildren. I’ve been at home, tired, depressed!! Feeling like I have no purpose! So much Lord!! I’m angry because my 91 year young mother was put in a nursing home, against her will. She does not want to be in there. I can only see her so much because I live across the border, two hours from her. I’m having a hard time concentrating and feel tired and blah! Feel like I have no purpose in life! My husband lives like he’s single… doing his own thing. Spends more time at work or with his male friends and yet I’ve seen messages between him and other women. I’m not sure what’s going on there? I’m just tired and don’t know what to do with my life. At times I struggle with alcohol and food addictions. I commit adultery. Been in emotional affairs. Cut them all off. Felt a disgrace for all of that! And at times gossip to other about my husband and then realize I sinned and get angry at me! I need your help in every area of my life. Please, please, help me!! |

Dear Frances, I could understand the frustration – there seems to be many to be fixed but no idea how. Can I suggest you to start with journaling this lesson to understand the power of praying –

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” Philippians 4:6
Are you ready also to learn the secrets of relationship establishment?

Last but least, I want to encourage you by sharing this verse – “Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26
My dear Frances, last week i read this praise report written by Gioia https://encouragingwomen.org/a-cheerful-heart/. You say that you are depressed so l truly hope you will click on the link and read it, she shares some lovely scriptures that l hope you will write down and memorise and when you feel depressed tell the Lord that HIS JOY is your strength and ask Him to give you a new heart, a new spirit and a cheerful heart bscause that it what His word says.
The Lord has heard your cry for help just like He did mine and that is why He sent you here. I know that its hard to have a husband that is uninterested and living his own life so l want to ask you to take your focus off your husband and put that focus on the Lord and your relationship with Him instead. If you feel you have no purpose and direction in life please look into doing our marriage minister course by becoming a student as the marriage minister course is the 1st one on our curriculum. Not only will it help your marriage but you can also help other women later on giving you purpose like it did me after l healed. You will feel less depressed once you start on the course and its geared towards teaching you so many biblical principles that a lot of the time we dont even realise we are violating which is the cause of the destruction in our lives. “Dont be dejected and sad for the joy of the Lord is your strength!” Nehemiah 8:10
Dear Frances, You are not alone in your pain. Many women are lost and searching for answers in today’s world. I am glad you are here, and I hope you find the encouragement and healing you need. I know what it’s like to feel lost and hopeless. I used to snoop around trying to figure out what my husband was up to, and it was mentally and emotionally exhausting. But when I finally gave up and let go, and turned to God, I found so much peace. I know it’s not easy, and I’ve failed many times myself. The enemy wants us to think we’ll never make it but we can ask for forgiveness and try again, as I have had to do many times.

Before my restoration the chapter from the Wise Woman Book helped me tremendously. https://hopeatlast.com/c3/day-10-chapter-5-won-without-a-word/ and chapters from the WW are in audio if you need to listen while driving, as I enjoyed.
Also if you haven’t already started please do the courses and journal, as they will help renew your mind. https://hopeatlast.com/rrr/.
