All of us know that what will help us enjoy any journey, like your Restoration Journey—is having a song to sing along the way.

What we've discovered is the absolute best song is choosing a special song that helps us realize that He understands. It’s true. Our Husband, our Maker, understands because that’s how we all found our way here. He reached out for our hand when He heard our cries, when we were “rejected.” “'For the Lord has called you, like a wife forsaken and grieved in spirit, even like a wife of one’s youth when she is rejected,' Says your God.”
By singing a special song, rather than the normal "praise" song, which you may be used to doing—you'll discover how much it helps you understand the deeper relationship the Lord wants to have with you. To help you feel He is right there beside you.
The song we'd suggest for this part of your journey is below.
However, if this song is familiar and it reminds you of your EH or another man, then we ask that you stop and ask the Lord to show you another song. The last thing you want to do is to be unfaithful to your Husband by being reminded of another man, right?

Also, if this isn't really your style of music or if English isn't your first language and you'd prefer another song, just let Him show you another song. Just be especially conscious [mindful] of the lyrics, the words you'll be sowing into your mind and emotions. Emotions are the key and what you want is feeling your heart swell when you sing it, giving you hope as you travel along your journey.

Then, be sure that each time you come to read a lesson and anytime throughout your day, you listen to your special song (either this one or another one He shows you for this course.

Why was THIS Song Chosen for Course 1? We chose “Roads” to help you understand that this is a journey you’re on. And also to understand that the road you’re traveling isn’t an easy one, but by entering the Narrow Gate, you’ll eventually not just find your way Home again, but you will return transformed.
Most importantly, keep in mind that He was who led you here. He heard your cries, then led you to find hope. And finding hope is really just the beginning of what He has waiting for you!

We believe, too, that as you begin “working” towards becoming a minister, very often you begin to rely on yourself, forgetting that He is there to discuss and work TOGETHER with. This song, we hope, will help you remember that without Him you’re unable to do anything, just as John 15:5 says, “I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.”
