Today I was reminded of the very 1st Living Lesson https://loveatlast.org/living-lessons/week-1-whatever-she-does-she-prospers/ as I read the My Beloved for today which also speaks about meditating on God’s word day and night.
During the most difficult part of my RJ, while I was separated and it felt like my world had come crumbling down and was falling apart (which is not a bad place to be in mind you… because I was so much closer to the Lord due to my heartache..) I wrote down many scriptures on 3 x 5 cards to meditate on because I was so heartbroken when my EH earthly husband left me.
I would run to the bathroom at work especially when I felt that fear overcoming me and take my 3 x 5 scriptures to read and then feel so much better being filled with Gods promises. My favourite thing to do because at the time I did not have my license or a car… is that I would walk to work or walk to drop or fetch my daughter from day care and also have those cards to read as I walked.
It was a difficult time but also looking back I became very close to the Lord and this is where I truly got to know Him and how wonderful HE IS!! So be sure as you read our books or if you are reading material online or even from your bible to write those scriptures down!! Its like and investment into your spiritual soul, its spiritual food that you need to feed on everyday!
June 19 My Beloved
“Remember the word to Your servant, in which You have made me hope. This is my comfort in my affliction, that Your word has revived me” (Ps. 119:49–50).
Beloved, has the Lord given you a word of hope? Where have you kept this word? Is it hidden deep in your heart? Is it meditated on day and night? Is it ready on your lips when someone asks you to give an account of the hope that is in you?
This must be your comfort in the affliction that you face. This alone will revive you and be with you until the victory is crossed. Cherish this word, blessed servant of the Lord. It is His promise to you.
So be sure as l always say to stay spiritually fed. The devotions are a great place to start your day! https://encouragingwomen.org/devotional/
That’s a beautiful reminder, thank you for the reminder to meditate on his word day and night, and that our times of affliction or loneliness are the best times because we learn to depend on Him!
Yes Azariah it really is the best time in your journey because you have so much more time to spend with Him 🙏❤️
I can relate Atarah, what a beautiful place it was when the journey started, I had nothing else but Him to grab on to and I used to read and read and read His word, the books, testimonies and journaled faithfully. Although my relationship with my Heavenly Husband is now at a completely different place, I will always remember those first months as the best time with my Heavenly Husband (through the brokenness 🙂 )
Me too Adina I’m at a completely different place but reading all those testimonies and meditating on His word made all the difference 💗
