My sweet brides, these days I have been aware on how our precious daughters and sons are suffering from social pressure!!
They feel ugly, unadequate, they need approval from their peers and want to have the perfect bodies, personalities and best pic on social media.
I am a direct witness of this new social pressure, because my daughter Bethia who is turning 16 in few weeks, tell me how much pressure she feels to be perfect!!
Praise the Lord, and even though she fall short as all we do, she has her Heavenly Father to go to, and she knows how much she is loved by Him, because He has giiven her a lot of proof of that!!
She told me yesterday that she receive a speech in her highschool about depression and suicide due to one of students there that committed suicide a couple months ago!!
The Lord spoke to my heart after reading this amazing praise in HGM blog:
And then Erin wrote another praise:
That is why I want to present to you this new page to help our children if they are experiencing sadness or feeling unloved:
Please come and read it and leave a precious comment!!
And don´t forget to share!!🥰🥰
Isabella thank you for coming to share this I hope that many moms out there will take the time to come and read the time to speak to their daughters and have loving conversations about this. I felt led to speak to my daughter this morning who is also 16 and to ask her how she feels about herself and if this is something she struggles with? as there is so much on social media showing girls with perfect bodies and perfect everything. She reminded me that when she was very little I shared this scripture with her and told her she is unique there is no other person in this world who is like her. She told me that many of her friends do struggle with this…
Psalm 139
For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place,
when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my unformed body;
all the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be.
Yes my dear, they are struggling and we need to show them how perfect they are to us, and to their Heavenly Father!! I hope many moms, aunts, grandmas and everyone can share this to help them during these years!!
Thank you so much my dear for your comment!! 😍😍
It’s heartbreaking that girls and even women are forced to wonder how they “think about themselves” because when I was young, no one really thought about themselves, or at least I never did. It probably has everything to do with social media; at least we know the rise in thinking poorly about ourselves is rooted there.
Asking my Husband if to and how to comment, He reminded me that the absolute CURE for this is to teach and train our children (and women we are ministering/mothering) to think of OTHERS. Even shyness has a cure of not thinking how they come across but making their audience comfortable and shaking off pride —which has also been pushed on everyone for our destruction for years.
Trying to gain attention through social media “likes” or an onslaught of friends and followers also has a CURE… knowing they have the full ATTENTION and APPROVAL of One who created them perfectly—flaws and weaknesses too—in order to use them to gain HIM followers and fans!
Indeed we were created to serve and that gives us a sense of fulfillness, hapiness and joy!!
Yes we should direct our youth to help others and to focus less on them!!
With social media they are feeding their pride and they forget about others!!
Thank you so much for sharing!! 😍😘
Wow!! I’m SO GLAD you mentioned this!! A while back my Husband really had to speak to me about my personal FB account and He really dug deep into my soul asking me if I was relying on how many likes and comments I received to make me feel good and accepted and liked? I’m so glad that He showed me that I need no-ones approval but His and not long after that started ministering thru my BNN FB taking the focus off myself and turning it to others. In this world the focus is too much on self and we have become very selfish creatures but when we think of others sharing HIM with them they too can feel His love and acceptance!!
