My relationship with my dad growing up was not always good. It was very contentiousness especially when l got into my late teens… early 20’s.
There was a time for years when l had no contact with my dad l never called him. My dad always had something negative to say and l felt like it was just very too draining to even speak to Him.
I live in a different town so I have not seen much of him over the years.
The Lord my wonderful HH has changed my heart towards my dad so I do call him to make sure he is OK and even though He still speaks badly about my mom and her family (they got divorced when l was 18) I am able to just agree.
I’m thankful because the change happened in me. Because of His great love and patience for me I am able to love my dad 💕
My dad never hugged or said l love you to my brother’s and sisters and myself but when l end off my call l can say “l love you” to him. Saying l love you comes naturally to me. Being loving and giving hugs is natural 💗
My parents did not grow up in this way so I’m really thankful that my Beloved won me over so that I can win my dad over with love ❤️
