Seeking restoration for my marriage.

Divorced.
Have you read the book "How God Can and Will Restore Your Marriage?"
Yes
How did you find our ministry?
Through the book
Now, please tell us about your situation and why you have come to us for help and what has your husband/partner said are the main issues or problems he has with you and your relationship?
I am currently divorced. My divorce went through Dec 14th 2023, my husband filed and did it all on his own. My ex husband now has started seeing someone else and I’m finding it hard to stand in the gap believing in restoration. This process has been going on for 3 years now, we have a 5 year old son and I have remained single because I believe God wants to restore us. I believe that I’m almost there but it’s gotten harder since he now has a girlfriend and she’s 10 years younger than me. He doesn’t want to restore anything and sometimes I feel he’s bitter and resentful towards me and it hurts.
Please use the space below to simply speak to God, in your own words, pouring your heart out to Him.
Lord help me to keep trusting in you. To keep putting you first and allowing your will to be done in me! I know nothing I have gone through is in vain. I know you have good plans for me and although I feel it’s taken some time you work everything out on time! I know you’re faithful and will come through. I know my victory is closer than ever before and that’s why there’s so much opposition! Help me to continue to fix my eyes on you and do your will. In Jesus name!
In order for us to minister more effectively to you, please check what concerns apply to you:
Thankfully I have no other concerns other than my relationship at this time.
Finally, please choose how you would like us to conduct your Marriage Evaluation from the choices below.

  1. Dear precious bride from the USA, I am so sorry for the hurt you are going through, I know how you are feeling but I want to encourage you that nothing is impossible with the Lord – “For with God nothing will be impossible.” L1:37 https://biblehub.com/luke/1-37.htm and although your former husband doesn’t want restoration the Lord can still do it – “The king’s heart is like a stream of water directed by the LORD; he guides it wherever he pleases.” P21:1 https://biblehub.com/proverbs/21-1.htm My husband too said he never wants us restored and even after divorce and those words, we had restored marriage – https://uiteindelikhoop.com/herstelde-huweliksgetuienis-klassiek-weer-getroud-nugter-na-15-pynlike-jare/ (please use the translate button).

But there is a bigger purpose why our Darling Lord is allowing it and I want to encourage you to put all your focus on the Lord and experience His everlasting love for you – https://loveatlast.org/

Please also do the Facing Divorce Course ( https://hopeatlast.com/c3/facing-divorce-course/ ) and I want to encourage to please fill out the journal at the end of each Chapter, because there you get the chance to pour out your heart to our Darling Lord as well as to journal what you have learned through the course, to encourage other brides.

Dear precious bride I look forward to see the change in your life and the testimonies to come.

  2. Dear Bride, I know what you are going through is heartbreaking. I agree with everything Janine shared, nothing is impossible with God, even if your husband doesn’t want anything to do with restoration. The Lord can turn hearts:

“In the Lord’s hand the king’s heart is a stream of water
that he channels toward all who please him.” https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=proverbs%2021&version=NIV,KJV,NKJV,NLV

Use this season to draw closer to the Lord and to make Him your First Love. Surrender your situation into His loving hands, He will work in your situation. The Lord is right now alluring you to turn to Him to build an intimate relationship with Him, to heal your heart and to give you peace and joy regardless of your circumstances.

Do not look at your situation through fleshly eyes, but keep your eyes on the Lord.

    “Take delight in the Lord,
and he will give you the desires of your heart.” https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Psalm%2037%3A4&version=NIV,KJV,NLV,NASB

  3. Dear Bride, the first thing came to my mind is this verse –
“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, for ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.” 1 Corinthians 15:58
Like Adina, I would like to encourage you also to grow in the Lord. Please know that God is bigger than any problem in our lives and there’s the more reason to fix your eyes on the only prize you need. When I started my journey, I went from making it a habit to read the words daily to enjoying that time with the Lord. One day you will realize He is all you need really.
There are many free lessons on RMI you can take advantage of and don’t forget to journal –
