5 yrs ago I filed for divorce from my then husband. He begged me not to do it but I wouldn’t listen. He had stepped out on our marriage several times and I was finally fed up with it all. I met another man who had convinced me he could make me happy so I quickly fell in love with him and filed divorce. Biggest mistake of my life I went through hell with this other man not knowing at the time he had a drug and gambling addiction. He moved in with me and for 5 yrs I went through so much pain and suffering. My ex husband met a new woman, moved in with her and stopped seeing his children. It’s been yrs since he last saw them. I want to restore my marriage now even though I divorced him and he’s with a new woman. I heard he remarried to her but I’m not sure if that is true. They have no children together though because when I filed for divorce my ex husband in a desperate attempt to convince me not to proceed went and had procedure done, he told me it was to prove to me I was only women he ever wanted to have a family with. But after he met new woman he became different with me and his children distant and cold hearted. I don’t know for certain if it is Gods will we be reunited but I want to try. The main issues with my ex husband that lead to me filing divorce was his wondering eye and bad temper he had ptsd from being in Military and he would go in rages for smallest of things kids did wrong yelling and cursing in front of them.
Please use the space below to simply speak to God, in your own words, pouring your heart out to Him.
Lord I love you with all of my heart and soul. I have searched u as your word says and though I not as close as I wanna be with u I am a long ways from were I once was. I don’t want anything or anyone to get in the way of that so I ask if it’s your will for my ex husband and I to be reunited that u change his heart and have him talk to as u know I have no way of getting in communication with him. But if it is not your will I pray he show me your will for my life in Jesus holy name I pray.

  1. Dear Bride, My husband was once living away from home and living with the OW. Although heartbroken, it gave me so much more time to spend and get to know the Lord. He is ALWAYS there for us, even when we don’t feel His presence. He wants to show you His love, He wants you to share His unconditional love with others, because His love has the power to heal everything.

I am so glad to hear that you found the RYM book and that you are growing closer to Him. I know that it must be hard for your children to see their father so rarely. Maybe this is a great time to point them towards the best Father they can have! https://homegrownministries.com/hp/ww4hp/

Also if you haven’t already started please do the courses and journal, as they will help renew your mind. https://hopeatlast.com/c1/ . I also encourage you (even though you’re already divorced) to read Facing Divorce Again https://hopeatlast.com/c3/facing-divorce-course/

I would also like to encourage you to let go of your situation into the Lord’s hands while you focus on your relationship with Him, making Him your First Love https://hopeatlast.com/c3/day-2-chapter-2-first-love/.

God can restore your marriage, even if you’re the only one pursuing restoration. Just be still and give all your concerns to the One who truly cares and wants to take your pain away.
    The Bible says:

“The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” Ex14:14.

  2. Dear Bride, I am sorry to hear you have been through so much but please believe that the Lord has you where you should be. “My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise.” Psalm 51:17
Remember “but with God all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26 This is the time to grow in the Lord and seek His will. I encourage you to journal the following lesson and learn how to let Him lead you –

We all made mistakes in our marriages but the Lord is a forgiving God. Hold onto Him and wait for Him.
“Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him” Psalm 37:7
“Instead of your shame you will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace you will rejoice in your inheritance. And so you will inherit a double portion in your land, and everlasting joy will be yours.” Isaiah 61:7

  3. Dear Bride,
I want to first tell you that nothing is impossible with God. I know that what you are going through is extremely difficult. I too, had my EH move out and in with the OW. It was very painful but at the same time I was able to spend so many hours with my HH. Now that I am restored I miss the time that I used to get to spend with Him. This has all happened for a reason and it’s because your HH loves you and wants you to make Him first. Begin to journal and pour out your heart in the lessons and read all available resources that RMI offers. The testimonies were always so encouraging for me when days got hard.

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭27‬:‭14‬ ‭NLT‬‬
