One of the best things that l did at the start if my RJ, was read Psalms and Proverbs for 30 days with thr reading plan l share below . It was a time of earnestly seeking the Lord because not only was l fearful for my future but l also really wanted to hear from the Lord. At that time in my life with the separation l was living in very uncertain times… I moved about 3 times and was in between jobs trying to take care of myself and my daughter who was 5 year old back then.
It was really tough times but what soothed me the most was Gods word. I read Psalms and Proverbs a couple of times over a few months and l found many scripture that would leap out at me or would squeeze my heart and l clung to those promises.
Its amazing how my life changed gradually and things just started getting better and better as the word become life!! The verses that l share above is one of those times a portion of scripture would speak deeply to my heart. I highlighted it in yellow and clung to this promise and deep down l just knew it was a promise to me for my future and today im living it 🙌
If you are looking for a way to read your bible more and really hear from the Lord and read something really uplifting, find His promises for you and also to teach you Godly wisdom this is good place to start!! 😊

Yes the words come alive and become promises you absolutely cling through. I remember always turning to my Bible whether I was happy or crying, it was my everything. I still very much enjoy reading Psalms & Proverbs every morning.
