Confess Your Sins

But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness. 1 John 1:9

I must confess that the last few days I have struggled with staying on the narrow path with my Husband. It is so easy to let taking care of the house, children, EH, and every day tasks overrun your entire day. It pains me in my heart because I know it simply means my relationship with my Husband isn’t where it should be.

I say this because I want to encourage other women who may be struggling with having a good day, but then slip back to having a bad day. It can happen to any of us. We need to take it as a gentle reminder from our Husband, who loves us very much, that it is time to run back into His arms.

He is the Only One who can help and heal us. I can hold on to the verse listed above and know that He will cleanse me from all wickedness. I will ask my Husband what to do next every day and lean completely on Him. I look forward to being able to share with you lovely ladies on how He helps me continue on my restoration journey with Him.

  1. Thank you Elda what a wonderful encouragement to me today too because many a day I struggle with these things too but how wonderful that we can just run back to Him and confess knowing that He cleanses us from all unrighteousness. It can be hard especially as women when we have small kiddo’s and a home and for many of us who have an EH living at home it can be especially hard to keep that focus. I want to share this LL Living Lesson that I have gone back to many a time to help me keep that focus and to keep those lines of communication open no matter what we are doing even if it’s taking care of the kids or dishes or washing… because I need to do the same 🙂

  2. My dear Atarah thank you so much for sharing that LL. It truly was a blessing to read this morning. My HH was able to use you to speak right to my heart.

    1. Im so glad praise the Lord 💗🙌💖 believe me wen l say im encouraging myself too 😂🙌

      1. I’m so glad I’m not alone with this struggle. Sometimes the voices we hear in our head try to deceive us. I guess that’s why it’s so important to feed our soul with His truth and to share our testimonies.

  3. Elda, this too happens to me. It seems to happen on the weekends for some reason. You would think it would be during the week while I’m at my job, but actually that’s when I spend quality time with Him more. On my drive to work in the car, on my lunch break I talk to Him or listen and read lessons. On the weekends EH and I usually do stuff around the house, yard work, maintenance etc. and the kids and I are occupied doing things so I don’t get to feel that intimacy with my Beloved. I’ve talked with Him about this. I want to be a worker at home, but now I see that I’m closer to Him right now while I work outside the home. So I am in waiting season.
Today being the weekend, my EH has been outback working on a friends car, so I am thankful I did get to spend a little more intimate time making a recording of Proverbs and spending weekend time with Him reading the Word. 💕

    1. Hey Hope mmmhm wow i completely understand weekends are harder with all the family around. He knows our hearts so im sure HE completely understands our desire is to have more time alone with Him so im sure as we ask HE will make a way 😍😊

    2. Thank you for sharing Hope! I completely understand that because when I was working too I had more time and opportunities to be with my HH. It can be harder to find time to spend with Him now but I think it’s just an opportunity to depend more on Him and increase our level of faith.

  4. Thank you for sharing dear Elda. I also have to confess that I got upset with my neighbor because he was trowing all his stuff in front of my wall and he was parking in front of my gate, and I confronted him but I have been walking with this guilt because I didn’t wait for my husband to sort it out and I was walking with this guilt because I was upset with the neighbor. I said sorry but I feel so guilty and needed to reeds your post this morning and I needed to be reminded of this verse.
But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness. 1 John 1:9

    1. Amen Janine and yes those feelings of guilt can make us feel so terrible until we confess and He will always be there to forgive and heal us.

    2. Oh yes Janine! It is such a negative feeling we are left with when we give into our flesh and spew out anger. Thankfully we have a Husband who is willing to forgive and love us enough to keep us on the narrow path to life.

  5. Thank you Elda, for the light you have shed on this Bible text.

Except that I too have been walking around with guilt feelings that are not from my Lord for far too long. Guilt that I can’t give more time to my Lord or build relationship with Him through work, housekeeping, and taking care of the children. The day goes by so fast that before I know it another one has passed. Only to see that I react irritated to my surroundings. Because what I wanted to do for and with Him did not happen.
But luckily I am not alone in these struggles and He gives me hope again when I read such encouraging blogs. That comforts me 🙌
I would like to share this lesson, which helps me every time I think what should I do.

    1. Thank you Kristine for the lovely reminder that He leads us. We simply need to communicate with Him about all things and He will show us the best path as long as we can be still to listen to Him.
