  1. Hello Erin, so sad to hear about this bride, i know just recently discovered, as you know, that feeling alone in your struggle can make you feel deeply sad and depressed. But one Bible promise that has always helped me not to hurt myself is this one.

    Psalms 118:17-24 NKJV
I shall not die, but live🥳, And declare the works of the LORD. The LORD has chastened me severely, But He has not given me over to death. Open to me the gates of righteousness; I will go through them, And I will praise the LORD. This is the gate of the LORD, Through which the righteous shall enter. I will praise You, For You have answered me, And have become my salvation. The stone💞which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone. This was the LORD’s doing; It is marvelous in our eyes. This is the day the LORD has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it.

I would love to encourage this bride with Promises that i am finding now by my self also.

  2. Years ago I struggled with overwhelming sadness, trying to commit suicide morenthan than once and my doctor wanting to admit me, I asked her to give me one week and in that week I said to God I can’t do it on my own and asked Him to free me from depression. My HH led me to meditate on the word of God and a verse that I memorized and still love up to this day is:
    Isaiah 35:10
    New International Version
10 and those the Lord has rescued will return.
    They will enter Zion with singing;
everlasting joy will crown their heads.
Gladness and joy will overtake them,
and sorrow and sighing will flee away.

Today I can testify and praise my HH from freeing me from depression.

The thankful therapy exercises are brilliant with a ripple effect.

    1. Dear bride, I just want to add this, you are not alone, everlasting joy will crown your head. Gladness and joy will overtake you, and sorrow and sighing will flee away.

  3. I remember that in my lowest moments, I can tell him: Beloved, I can’t do it alone, you are my Husband.
I remember taking refuge in His Word and the promises He has given me, then once I stabilize I try to just thank Him, remembering everything He has already done for me, then I just have to make room to wait for what He can tell me, one of The Bible verses that help me focus and wait on Him are:
“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” Isaiah 41:10

  4. Thankfulness Therapy really is amazing to lift us out of feeling lonely and depressed. We don’t need to feel like this, even in our trails, because we have a wonderful HH and counting our blessings one by one, praising Him and listening to love songs can lift our spirits immediately and bring us to a place of peace and rest in Him.

  5. I would be happy to join this Bride doing the TT. I did the TT but as a Minister a while back and it was so amazing for me!! Having scriptures to go with your list of things that you are thankful for and recording it to listen to a few times a day helps it to just sink into your heart and your focus is turned away from the negative shifted to the positive! All the amazing things God has blessed you with! Once you start you just add and add and add to the list of things you are grateful for and before you know it you have such a LONG list of things. And the next thing you know He shows you more and then you just feel so light and free and happy again!

This is long, I would read this over and over again at some of the worst times I went through and it would comfort me so much!

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,”
    declares the Lord.
9 “As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.
10 As the rain and the snow
    come down from heaven,
and do not return to it
    without watering the earth
and making it bud and flourish,
so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater,
11 so is my word that goes out from my mouth:
It will not return to me empty,
but will accomplish what I desire
and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
12 You will go out in joy
    and be led forth in peace;
    the mountains and hills
will burst into song before you,
and all the trees of the field
    will clap their hands.
13 Instead of the thornbush will grow the juniper,
and instead of briers the myrtle will grow.
This will be for the Lord’s renown,
    for an everlasting sign,
    that will endure forever.” I55

So find scriptures that encourage you and lift you up and all the things you are thankful for and watch what He does, your heart will burst with joy.
