Tonight I Confessed

“Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” James 5:16

It surely took me long enough but God’s work in me is not done yet. For the past 6 months I have been asking for forgiveness from those whom I shared about EH, including in-laws. But it didn’t seriously cross my mind that I need to confess to EH about my faults. I had been so proud in my ways over the years that it’s no surprise “You have taken from me friend and neighbor— darkness is my closest friend.” (Psalm 88:18) Tonight after reading another testimony about a bride confessing to EH about her faults, I finally thought to myself – that’s right, I have not confessed my sins to EH.

As I was writing the text to EH, the list got longer and longer and they made me realize how bad a wife I was. And why did it take so long for me to write this?! Then it hit me – I was praying about healing my broken heart. It dawned on me that the Lord is answering my prayer about healing. He is trying to heal me by me confessing my sins to EH.
Praise the Lord! I never want to look back on the person I was – how awful that was, but instead surrender to the Lord to continue to change me. Thank you Holy Spirit for convicting me!

“So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” John 8:36

  1. Thank you so much for coming to share Gioia, it’s amazing how the Lord used this process of asking forgiveness and confessing your faults to bring healing. It’s not an easy thing to do admitting our faults but praise God when we confess it also brings freedom.
